Heads Up + Holiday Wish List Warning: This journal was written very hastily. Ignore any spelling or grammar fails, plz.
Okay, so here's the deal my lovelies. I'm drowning in schoolwork and I've been very slow with the updates and all, and I feel terrible about it. And since I'm going to visit family this week on the East Coast, everything I'm working on will probably put off even further than it already is. However, there is a slight upside. My dad just got one of those new Motorola Droid phones, so now I can check my DA messages and stuff on the go using the internet on his phone! It's totally cool, but viewing profiles is a pain in the ass. But I can still reply to you guys if you comment on anything. Awesome, huh?
And to add to my self rant, I'm having an awesome week! I got an A on my biology test even though I guessed on ninety-percent of the entire test, and I got an A on my super important Julius Caesar final test in English! And I'm almost completely packed for my trip, and I'm just on top of everything! ASDF;; I'm so happy I could cry. Anyway, on to the wishlist stuff! ;D
Aaaah, winter. One of the best times of year. Time for fresh baked cookies, tea, and reading Toys R' Us catalouges by the fire. For me, at least. c: I decided to do this holiday wishlist since it seems fun, and I really don't want to do that math homework I really should be doing right now. -throws geometery book at wall- And I want to remind you guys that this is just for fun; please do not feel obligated to get me anything. PLEASE. I hate making people feel guilty. Some wishes are silly, some are serious, some are directed right at you (my beloved watchers) and others are merely my wishful thinking. Enjoy~
Step 1.
Make a post in your journal. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple ("I'd love a LJ icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
If you wish for real-life things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa could get in touch with you.
Step 2.
Surf around your friends list (or friends friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream for free--do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
